Old Town, fountains, theatre
Explore the historic and modern Duisburg. This city walk with lots of interesting background information takes you from the old town with the time-honoured town hall and the Salvator Church along the remains of the city wall to the vibrant Königstraße with the fountain mile and finally to König-Heinrich-Platz. Six different fountain sculptures by renowned artists, including the colourful "Lifesaver", are scattered along Duisburg's shopping street and are well worth a closer look. The neoclassical theatre on König-Heinrich-Platz is impressive.
